As a Study Abroad Advisor, Amy manages exchange and study abroad programs in Denmark, Hungary, India, Ireland, the Middle East, Morocco (AMIDEAST only), the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, and Turkey and also advises for AMIDEAST, SFS, SIT/IHP, MSID, and some CIEE programs (the latter are all multi-country programs). Amy is also in charge of organizing the General Study Abroad Orientation, managing the OIE Study Abroad Scholarship program, and advising for external scholarships.
Amy is from the Pacific Northwest, where she earned her B.S. degree in Anthropology/Sociology. She has worked in study abroad since 1998, previously at the University of Idaho. She joined the Richmond Office of International Education (OIE) in 2004. She feels lucky to have been able to travel to 15 countries around the world. In her free time, Amy likes to garden and spend time with her rescue animals.
