Chris Klein
Associate Director of Study Abroad
Profile
Chris Klein is the associate director of study abroad. He is responsible for managing the University of Richmond's study abroad and exchange programs in Africa (except SFS and SIT), Australia, Austria, France, England, Germany, Morocco (IES only), New Zealand, and Switzerland.

Chris has worked in international education since 1999 at Purdue University and Penn State. He joined the Office of International Education in July 2008.

After finishing his B.A. in 1989, Chris was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and has been involved in Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) activities since then. He lived in Strasbourg, France, for a year while doing a master's degree in French (civilisation emphasis) through Penn State. Chris enjoys traveling (recent trips include Japan, China, and Quebec), world literature and music, Native American culture and history, Cold War history, writing, and the outdoors.
