Partner Institutions
Semester and year-long exchange programs are the hallmark of the University of Richmond study abroad model. Richmond has received national recognition for the high priority it places on exchanges, which emphasize cultural and academic immersion. Tuition for exchange programs is the same as studying on campus; all state and federal financial aid, and most University financial aid is applicable; and several departments offer additional study abroad scholarships. Richmond subsidizes students' airfare expenses and covers the costs of international health and travel insurance, passports, visas, and qualified cultural excursions as well as pre-semester orientation and language courses, when applicable. Few U.S. universities provide these incentives to study abroad.
