About Nina

Nina graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in biology and a minor in mathematics.  While at Richmond, she was a member of the student Sierra Club, serving as president for one year and on the executive board for two years.  Nina was also a member of the Environmental Awareness Group and the Young Democrats, and was a Resident Assistant for three years.  She studied abroad in New Zealand at the University of Otago and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to do research in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006-2007.

Nina is currently at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies working towards a Masters in Environmental Management.

Personal Statement

All of my post-graduate accomplishments are directly related to my international experience at Richmond.  It was the semester abroad in New Zealand that prompted me to apply for a Fulbright grant to travel to Trinidad and Tobago, and also to spend two months in Spain working for the Worldwide Organizations of Organic Farmers (WOOF).  I found that I love traveling and learning abroad, and have many more trips planned for the future.
