Profile of Current International Student Population
International students make up 9 percent of the University of
Richmond undergraduate student population.
In the fall 2009 semester, the total international student
population is 250 students representing almost 70 countries.
This is a 2% increase from the 246 international students on
campus in the fall 2008 semester.
165 of the current international students are degree-seeking
undergraduates, 73 are exchange students from 33 partner
institutions, 1 is a visiting student from Yonsei University in
Korea, 8 are graduate students, 2 are teaching assistants in
Arabic and Japanese, and 1 is an adjunct professor in Italian.
The top countries represented by all international students are
China (35 students), Spain (14 students), Bulgaria (13
students), and the UK (12 students). The top major is business
administration.
