Traveling within the United States
If you are planning to travel within the US, it is essential that you bring your passport and visa documents with you. Increased
security after September 11 has resulted in patrols at border crossings, bus terminals, train terminals, and airports throughout
the US. You may be subject to questioning or random searches so it is also important to bring with you proof of current
enrollment. If you are applying for a change of non-immigrant status, visa petition or employment authorization, you should
bring your U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or USCIS receipt notice, which proves that you have an application pending with USCIS.
