Internships- Mexico
About the Program
Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores
de Monterrey (ITESM) is one of the most prominent education centers in Latin America
and a UR exchange institution for study abroad. ITESM has been accredited
by SACS since 1950. ITESM is located in
Monterrey, a business and commercial center that is Mexico’s third largest
city. Monterrey has more colleges, universities and technology institutes
than any other Mexican city.
This 8-week internship program will offer students the
opportunity to work in community service and business.
Students must have a 2.5 GPA. Advanced
Spanish skills are recommended but not required for business internships, and there are a limited
number of English-language internships. Students should have an
intermediate level of Spanish (2 years of Spanish which can include high
school courses) for community service internships.
If accepted to the program, non-native Spanish speakers
must complete ITESM's online Spanish placement test to determine language
ability and course selection.
