Chris Klein is the Associate Director of Study Abroad.  He is responsible for managing the University’s study abroad and exchange programs in France, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. 

Chris has worked in international education since 1999 at Purdue University and Penn State. He joined  the OIE in July of 2008.

After finishing his BA in 1989, Chris was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and has been involved in Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) activities since then.  He lived in Strasbourg, France, for a year while doing  a Master’s degree in French (civilisation emphasis) through Penn State. 

Chris enjoys traveling (recent trips include Japan, China, and Quebec), world literature and music, Native American culture and history, Cold War history, writing, and the outdoors.
