Curriculum Internationalization Grants
Deadline: January 29, 2010
The International
Education Committee offers grants for the development of new
courses with significant international content and for revisions
of existing ones, to infuse them with such content.
Eligibility
- All continuing faculty are eligible for grants of $3,000 -
$3,500 for new courses and $1,500 - $2,000 for revisions.
- Adjunct or part-time faculty are eligible to apply, with
priority given to those with a continuing association with the
University.
- Special consideration will be given to academic fields in which
the number of courses with significant international content is
limited.
Application
Procedures
- Applications should be submitted by January
29, 2010 to
Cindy Holma
in the Office of International Education.
- The application should consist of:
1. Proposal including the following information: -course rationale and description -relation to major/minor -anticipated enrollment -anticipated first offering and frequency of offering
2. Preliminary syllabus 3. Letter of support from chair or dean
4. Curriculum vitae
- Applications will be reviewed by a subcommittee of the
International Education Committee, chaired by the Dean of
International Education. The Dean will notify applicants in
writing of the Committee’s decision.
Half
of the grant will be distributed through payroll at the time of
selection, the other upon submission of a final syllabus to the OIE
and chair of the relevant department.
