Paris, Normandy, La Rochelle
June 26 – July 30, 2022 (five weeks)
Spend five weeks in France and discover its rich history and culture. Students take two units of French courses based on their level and have the opportunity to join exciting excursions in Paris, Normandy, and the La Rochelle region. This popular program features:
- Four days in PARIS – Take an insider tour of Paris led by your faculty leader, a French native. Find out how history has shaped this great city and experience life in the “City of Lights”.
- Three days in NORMANDY – Visit Monet’s Garden in Giverny, the Normandy D-Day beaches and the unique abbey of Mont Saint Michel.
- Four weeks in LA ROCHELLE – On the Atlantic Ocean. A city rich in history, small enough not to get lost, but full of life in the summer. French classes in the morning, free time in the afternoon.
In Paris and Normandy accommodations are in comfortable hotels. In La Rochelle, students stay with handpicked families experienced in hosting American students. La Rochelle is located ninety miles north of Bordeaux on the coast. Historic sites include an 18th century classical style cathedral and 15th century towers that mark the entrance to the city’s old port. The famous “Francofolies” festival in mid-July attracts musicians from around the world.
