Language, Literature, and Culture
May 12 - June 28, 2020
Students combine intensive language study along with literature and independent study work while they discover the Japanese language in its authentic setting. Students experience the culture through a homestay with a Japanese family, famous sights, and study of the traditional arts.
Discover the language in its authentic setting. You will have a “homestay” with a Japanese family, see the famous sights and experience the rich culture of Japan including the tea ceremony, and calligraphy, Gagaku or traditional Japanese court music, and travel for a special two-day-long tour of an historical spot in Japan.
