EnCompass: Future Cities and the Environment

The University of Richmond will offer a three-week, immersive “Maymester” program in the spring of 2020 that will take place in Richmond and South Africa. This local-global “Future Cities and the Environment” course will be led by Todd Lookingbill, Associate Professor of Geography, and will focus on environmental challenges (and progressive solutions) faced in both Virginia and South Africa. Rising sophomores will spend one week studying and visiting sites of environmental importance in the Richmond region before traveling to Cape Town and Durban for two weeks of similar study and site visits.
