Profile
Krittika is the director of international student and scholar services and has been working at the University of Richmond since 2000. She oversees orientation, advising, services and support to non-immigrant students and scholars on immigration, health insurance, practical, cultural, academic, and personal issues
Krittika's interest in the international field began at an early age. As a Thai-American growing up in Virginia Beach, she appreciated the challenges and rewards of being a part of two cultures. After she graduated from Wesleyan University, she taught English in Thailand at a technical college and a refugee camp. After returning to the United States, she earned a master's degree in international education from New York University. Part of her coursework involved studying Thai culture and Buddhism as an exchange student in Thailand at one of Richmond's partner institutions, Thammasat University. Krittika is conversationally fluent in Thai. After graduate school, she moved to San Francisco, where she worked as a program coordinator for cross-cultural non-profit organizations.
In her free time, Krittika likes yoga, reading, watching movies, experiencing Richmond's many culinary delights, and visiting New York City.
