Mexico and Ecuador - 1996
Dr. Uliana Gabara led a group of eight faculty members on a three-week seminar to Mexico and Ecuador. The seminar was preceded by several weeks of personal research and on-campus presentations.
While in Mexico and Ecuador, participants met with university counterparts and government officials. They also visited the site of a new UR summer study abroad program in Cuenca, Ecuador as well as some of the region's most important cultural and political sites. The faculty members' visit was featured on the local news as well as in two local newspapers.
