Peer Mentors

International Student Peer Mentors are returning international students who hold weekly office hours in the International Resource Center. Peer Mentors are available to handle international student inquiries about University of Richmond departments, programs, and services; provide referrals to resources on campus and in the Richmond community; and give cultural, practical, and travel advice about the United States.

Peer Mentors are responsible for knowing procedures, policies, and general information about the Office of International Education and its international student organizations and programs. They also conduct research and surveys about the international student population and assist with general office duties when necessary. 

Office Hours: (Resource Center, Carole Weinstein International Center, Suite 103)

  • Wednesdays 3 - 5 p.m.

Rachel Zhang, peer mentorI am Rachel Zhang, and I am from Shanghai, China. I am a junior here at Richmond studying Accounting and Japanese. During my time at Richmond, I studied abroad in Hamamatsu, Japan and Milan, Italy. I enjoy traveling, playing basketball and doing card tricks.
