    Rachael Fellabaum is the Associate Director of Study Abroad and Short-Term Programs at the University of Richmond, having joined the Office of International Education in Summer 2025. She brings over 15 years of experience in international education, including teaching English abroad, managing U.S. government-funded exchange programs such as Fulbright at the Institute of International Education, and developing global research partnerships and short-term programs in collaboration with medical faculty at George Washington University. Most recently, she worked in Moldova on a global initiative focused on reforming child protection and care systems.

    Rachael has lived in Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia, and has traveled to more than 24 countries across four continents. She speaks intermediate Russian and knows a handful of phrases in Ukrainian and Romanian.

    At UR, Rachael supports a broad range of initiatives, including summer programs, EnCompass, faculty-led programs, and faculty seminars. She also advises students on a portfolio of semester-long exchange and study abroad programs.

    International experiences have been deeply meaningful for Rachael and her family, and she is honored to help students, faculty, and staff engage in transformative global opportunities.
