Weinstein Grants for Students

Small grants during the academic year may be awarded to full-time continuing students for original project proposals which build on a student's previous experience and knowledge. Students will be funded only if they will be on campus during the semester following the project.

During the summer, Weinstein Grant funding is also available to assist with airfare for students approved for UR Summer Fellowship (URSF) programs or for student athletes participating in a UR summer study abroad program. URSF applicants apply using the URSF application portal. Grants will be awarded for URSF-approved international internships or research. Student athletes who are unable to study abroad during the academic year may also apply for airfare support for UR summer study abroad using the Gateway Abroad application portal. Students will be funded only if they will be on campus during the semester following the project.

Weinstein Grants are generally awarded for $1000 or less. Amounts awarded are based on available funding. More information about application procedures and project completion is available on the Weinstein Grants Procedures page.

The University of Richmond does not permit students to use University funds to travel to countries under U.S. Department of State Travel Alert Level 3 unless the student has received specific approval from the Office of International Education. Travel to countries under the Department of State Travel Alert Level 4 is not allowed. Please review the University's policy for more information.
